Many years ago, I began a journey in Network Marketing. My quest for information started no different from yours. I was researching business models, company portfolios, affordability, products and distribution methods. The coined phrase is “Do Diligence” research.

In my earlier years, the method of distribution before the internet was a small circle of friends and family with companies such as Avon, Home Interior Designs during my college years, then believe it or not … but for a wedding gift my husband gave me an AMWAY distributorship.  Ha Ha, that gift backfired on him quickly. I quit after two meetings and when my sponsor asking me what kind of toilet paper brand were we using. Yes, Quit. Ok! That was a good laugh.

However, I still knew that Network Marketing business model of building a team and recommending a companies products was what I wanted. Then late one night the light bulb switch clicked to ON POSITION when I was watching an info-commercial from a very savvy network marketer who was branded the King of Info-Commercials. Realize this was still before the explosion of the internet era. The creation of info-commercials was really a method to market outside of that small circle of friends and family. With his info-commercials and the “Spill Effect” in the companies organizational matrix success came. However, after 2 years I learned a very important lesson. If I was going to invest my time and efforts into marketing company products they needed to be trademarked and patented. You never want to invest in a companies products that are just re-labeled. For that reason it was not a good investment for me to stay with this company. However, the knowledge of info-commercials, team building and the secret that he personally revealed to me would stay with me forever. He revealed to me that the secret of building wealth was not in receiving all the commission bonus checks that was just short term income earned, but the long-term wealth was in my organization (my team) sales volume commission checks for building residual income.

SECRET…Generosity of Paying It Forward is Sweeter Than Honey

In 2002, I discover a company “Swiss Skin Care Company” with trademark and patent products that are still today phenomenal that deliver results. Business was booming. Until …. a conflict arose.

We all have things thrown at us in life. Circumstances and new test in life arise every day of the week. Are you a pet owner? Do you consider your pet a family member? Well, I do! In short, our female German Shepherd required life threatening emergency surgery, then taken to the ICU of University of North Florida Veterinarian Hospital for 1-1/2 weeks. We really didn’t know if she would survive. Her first 24 hours was crucial. This is where I learned the technology of nutri-genomics where they tested her blood for nutritional losses and how to boost her immune system with supplements for her remarkable recovery of near septic death. A seed was planted that day and I didn’t even realize it.

Thank God, she pulled through but her recovery process from 3 degree burns received from a heating pad either from surgery vet or ICU time and one additional surgery consumed our lives for a year requiring 24/7 home care. Another journey began mastering internet marketing to still promote my business while working from home caring for Heidi. However, I was soon notified by the Swiss Skin Care Company that I was not in compliance with their internet policies. I was not allowed share my business nor company website via blogging, FaceBook etc. Ok, one more lesson learned and one more road block. Did I quit, that company … most definitely. There was no business sense in having a company website that I could not promote to sell product or blog to communicate with customers/team members keeping them updated on the latest news, product campaigns or events.

These are very important lessons learned over the years. Remember that seed that was planted regarding nutri-genomics. In network marketing it’s all about building relationships. In June 08, an internet friend share information regarding a pre-launch opportunity with GeneWize. After, listening more to the presentation, concept and innovated science coming to the market for DNA genetically guided nutritional supplement from GeneWize into the 5 Billion Dollar a year Health and Wellness industry. I replied WOW! Didn’t ask how much, but where do I sign up before this company is Launch to the Public. WOW! I had good news to share “Your DNA Doesn’t Lie”. Not two (2) weeks after I started to share this news I received notice from the Swiss Skin Care company that I was still under contractual agreement with them and they would pursue all their legal rights in my consultant agreement. Ok, in short my consultant agreement contract didn’t expire til the end of March 2009.

In the mean time, I continued coaching and mentoring other network marketers utilizing attraction marketing and social media methods producing info-commercials, blogging their unique story and promotions, creating Google Alerts, bookmarking their episodes, my blog articles all over the internet and uploading short 10 minute show segments to my YouTube channel. Success came when “Google Admin” picked up my blog and plastered it everywhere what a powerful gift. Guess who frequented the show regularly started generating powerful traffic volume to their websites. Mastering the skills for others gave me a proven method for my business marketing plan to share the Good News of GeneWize.

In all those months of waiting the time has come to implement my business plan to help others and build a non-stoppable momentum. In GeneWize my organizational matrix consist of two teams a LEFT and RIGHT. My LEFT team consist of people I personally enroll and my RIGHT team is my pursuing TEAM given to me via my UP-LINE Team which today May 10, 2009 is 141 strong. Remember the SECRET revealed above. It’s about the total volume of both teams that will build a residual income. A key to success in network marketing is building relationships, easy duplication, servant leadership and customer service. Starting May 2009, both LEFT and RIGHT TEAMS collectively will be promoted together on http://www.livestream.com/CreatingAbundancePromotingYou.

Like I said above, we are not any different than you when we began our journey’s and some of us still work full-time jobs that’s where it really benefits being a part of a TEAM.   I use the word journey, because that is what it is … a journey of self-development, learning a new profession and internet technology, building relationships, helping others reach their goals, business planning and strategies, servant leadership and being a TEAM player.
